WOOD, Christopher ‘Chris’

Born Friday August 20, 1943. Passed away Friday June 07, 2024.

On Friday 7th of June 2024, our beloved Christopher ”Chris” Wood suddenly passed away in Lorne, leaving behind a world that seems so much more bleak and dreary without him.
Chris was the so loved husband of Wendy. As anyone who ever met Chris will know – he adored her above everything. Chris was also the much loved father of Sofia, father in law of Andreas and grandfather of Ruby, Otis and Selma who all miss their pappa and morfar very, very deeply.
In his wake, Chris leaves behind his youngest brother John and sister-in-law Anna, along with his nieces Nicola and Madeline, their families, including little Ava and Eli who held a very special place in Chris’s heart. A few years ago Chris lost his two brothers Peter and Robert who also loved him deeply.
Last, but certainly not least – Chris was a dear friend to so many, both near and far away. Perhaps more than he himself ever knew.
In the light of his passing, we reflect on the outpouring of love the family has received. Chris would have been so proud. He will forever be in our hearts, in our thoughts and in our daily conversations.
