My name is Tracie Gleisner (nee Box) and was in Mr Jonesโs year 12 Physics class back in 1989. I will always remember him as a kind and patient teacher. His stand out statement to me was to โkeep hitting your head against a brick wall, because it feels good when you stop!โ
I managed to excel in the sciences, was accepted into Melbourne University to study medicine, have gone on to specialize in Radiation Oncology which is very heavy in Physics. I will remain always grateful to Mr Jones for
starting me on this journey. Thank you for teaching me about light waves, about Snells law, about thermo dynamics. Such a great introduction to the mysteries of science.
Vale Athol Jones.March 10, 2025 2:48 pm
