  3. My deepest condolences to Betty and the whole family. Eric looked after me when I first moved to Gellibrand 43 years ago. Eric got me onto the Fire Brigade and taught me how to drive the old Austin along with Max Hartwick. Eric was a legendary joke teller as we all know. We had many interesting experiences over the years through CFA incidents and the Hall Committee. He was a truly great neighbour and community person. I was in China until today and sadly missed his funeral.

  18. Deepest sympathy Betty and families for the sad passing of Eric.
He was a very kind and helpful neighbour to my mother over many years of which I am truly grateful. He gave years and years of voluntary service to the Gellibrand community and I’m sure he was sadly missed when you moved to Colac. Eric was a great joke teller and I never knew how he remembered such funny stories or where he got them from.
