My mother was a person who loved swimming, tennis, writing, painting and being the life of the party. She liked trees, leaves, colour, the ocean and all seasons, whatever they brought with them. She had a go at everything; Nursing, Red Cross, CWA, historical societies, art classes, creative writing and even driving although she decided that wasn't for her as a few kangaroo hops on the road to Bendigo indicated. She enjoyed companionship and sharing her experiences with others. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, they are a reminder of her achievements.

Much love to Sylvia, David, John and Alex on the loss of your mother and grandmother. My mother Isabel talked often and fondly of her sister-in-law Elizabeth and the time we spent with her when I was a small child. My thoughts are with all her family as you celebrate her life and mourn her passing, may she rest in peace.

One of the things I remember mum saying about aunty Bet was that she was the most ladylike woman she had ever known. I remember many Christmas lunches with the 4 sisters pink and giggly after one small glass of champagne. Aunty Bet, you certainly have left a lasting impression on your many nephews and nieces. My condolences to Sylv, David, John, Alex and also to Aunty Sylv

Dear Aunty Bet,
Thank you for your kindness, patience, and guidance when I was growing up. Your writing was an inspiration to me; I still cherish the beautiful koala book you wrote, as well as your book of poetry about love. I’ll always hold you dear in my heart.

Dear Elizabeth. I was privileged to know you when taking you to “Tea and Transport” at Ss Johns’ church when I came to live in Colac in 2010. You always had a magazine for me which I really appreciated. You are now in God’ s care. Blessings Annie
