Passed away peacefully at St John of God, Geelong surrounded by family.
Dearly loved husband of Jen. Loved father and father-in-law of Timothy, Christopher, Nicholas (dec), Andrew and Cate, Lucy, Jonathan (dec) and their partners. Loved Pup of Milla, Max and Will.
Funeral notice
Tuesday June 28, 2022
The Funeral of Mr. Michael Hayden McDonald will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 33-37 Smith Street, Lorne on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 with the service commencing at 11.00 a.m.
In accordance with family wishes, a private burial will be held.
No flowers by request, Michael's passion was the refugee cause. Donations may be made to Dementia Australia , CRAG (Combined Refugee Action Group) or JRS (Jesuit Refugee Service Australia, envelopes will be available at the service.

Dear Jen,
Weโre thinking of you Tim Chris Lucy and Andrew at this sad time.
Michael was a wonderful person and we miss him.
We share some wonderful memories of family gatherings.
Michaelโs gentle nature, wit, love of rock climbing, his interest in nature, and his support of many worthy causes will be with us always.

Dear Jen and family Jenny and myself were saddened to hear about Michaelโs passing he was a true gentleman and had time for everybody He taught me so much in my younger years and being my first boss i enjoyed working with him and we had many a wonderful day planting spuds you will be forever mist and always in our thoughts.
